Technician

Our client based in Pietermaritzburg is looking for a dynamic Technician to join their team.

Duties

• Hands on ability to articulate basic mechanical systems
• Basic pneumatic experience
• Experience with repair/maintenance packaging or food processing equipment would be advantageous - specifically with form fill and seal equipment
• Innovative thinker and problem solver
• Ability to read, understand and diagnose faults via PLC code
• Ability to write simple code would be advantageous (Allan Bradley, delta etc)
• VSD/VFD and servo experience would be advantageous
• Ability to read electrical drawings necessity
• Candidate must be able to communicate proficiently as well as be able to conduct written reports
• Ability to use hand tools properly is a must, as well as follow safety guidelines and rules
• Punctuality and strict time management is a necessity
• Ability to work without supervision is a necessity, and able to follow instructions strictly

Requirements:

• Sober habits
• Driver’s license
• Btech in Electrical engineering
• Trade test electrical light current preferably/ national diploma in engineering (electrical)
