Role Overview

We are looking for a commercially driven and technically grounded Technical Sales Manager to support and grow our established distributor relationships. This role focuses on equipping and enabling our distribution partners to effectively position C4L within their existing portfolios. Through strong technical support and strategic engagement with distributors, this role ensures that growers receive well-informed guidance and access to a premium, proven solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthen and support relationships with existing distributors to ensure alignment, engagement, and sustained commercial growth.
  • Collaborate with distributor teams to implement targeted sales strategies that drive performance and product adoption.
  • Provide technical training, product positioning guidance, and agronomic support to enhance distributor capability and market effectiveness.
  • In addition to maintaining and developing relationships with distributors, where possible, engage directly with farmers to provide pre-harvest consulting (e.g., irrigation scheduling, fertilization, crop manipulation, pruning) to stay current with practical agronomic practices and enhance product support.
  • Lead joint field visits, coordinate demonstration trials, and oversee product evaluations to reinforce the value and performance of C4L.
  • Monitor distributor activity, assess performance, and identify opportunities for focused growth and support.
  • Translate customer and market insights into tailored solutions that contribute to grower success and long-term client retention.
  • Represent Biorevolution and C4L at distributor events, technical workshops, and key industry forums.
  • Support the development and execution of brand positioning, marketing strategies, and awareness initiatives to elevate C4L’s presence in the market.

Candidate Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, Plant Physiology, Soil Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial agriculture, with a strong grounding in pre-harvest practices (e.g., irrigation scheduling, pruning, fertilization, crop manipulation) being ideal. Experience with biostimulants or crop enhancement technologies is advantageous.
  • Clear understanding of how biostimulants work in plant physiology and their role in modern crop production.
  • Proven track record of providing agronomic advice and working directly with clients, demonstrating strong relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with distributor networks, including delivering technical support, training, and engaging in field activities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • BASOS and AVCASA certifications are advantageous.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and commercially aware.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently within key agricultural regions.
