Technical Sales Executive- Composites

Location: Johannesburg, Sandton

Salary: R400,000 per annum + 2-3% commission

Industry: Composites for the Built Environment

Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive to join our dynamic team in the composites industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and have a proven track record in sales within a technical environment. This position requires an individual who is proficient in both Afrikaans and English, has excellent communication skills, and can effectively build and maintain client relationships. The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license, own a reliable car, and be willing to travel extensively as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed company targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the composites for the built environment sector.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to understand product specifications and capabilities.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely sales reports and forecasts.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to achieve company revenue goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote products and network with potential clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in a technical environment.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of composites and their applications in the built environment.
  • Languages: Fluency in both Afrikaans and English is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
  • Driving: Must have a valid driver's license and own a reliable car.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel frequently for client meetings and industry events.
  • Education: A relevant degree or technical qualification is preferred, but not mandatory.
