5 years experience in a metalliferous mine
Report to the Mine Manager and ensure all documentations are legally compliant.
Ensure that health and safety standards are adhered to.
Ensure legal working place examinations are adhered to.
Ensure relevant emergency procedures and equipment are maintained and implemented.
Issue safety instructions to all line managers for safeguarding people, equipment, material, and the environment against damage, injury, and/or loss.
Conduct follow-up inspections to ensure sub-standards and deviations are rectified.
Inspect workings to ensure legal compliance.
Prepare operation plans and schedules.
Ensure the standards and procedures are understood by the Operations Supervisors and implemented.
Ensure planned daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are achieved.
Direct Area resource specialists for technical support.
Conduct proper labour planning and manage absentees, leaves, and sick leaves.
Support overall Business Planning.
Investigate and report on any incidents/injuries and ensure the prescribed procedural requirements for the investigation and completion of accident/incident reports are followed.
