Time Conditions: 5 day Work Week (South Africa)

Purpose of Position: To manage all Activities in the Clinical pathology laboratory on a daily basis to ensure that set targets and objectives are achieved and maintain high quality standards at all times.

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Certificate: Business Management
2. Certificate: Financial Management
3. Certificate: Management
4. Diploma: Marketing
5. HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field
6. National Diploma: Biomedical Technology

Required Experience:

1. Knowledge of Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)
2. Knowledge of Employment Equity Act (EEA)
3. Knowledge of Google and Google Mail
4. Knowledge of Instrumentation and Methodologies
5. Knowledge of Meditech system
6. Knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word
7. Knowledge of relevant pathology test procedures
8. Senior and/or supervisory or managerial experience

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath
2. Manage all technical tasks in order to ensure efficient specimen flow in the laboratory
3. Manage and monitor laboratory staff in order to ensure that the goals of the department are achieved
4. Perform operational management tasks in order to ensure operational priorities and initiatives that may be required
5. Perform Quality Control procedures in the laboratory in order to ensure best practices are upheld
6. Process routine bench work in laboratory in order to ensure efficient processing of specimens
7. Train laboratory staff in order to ensure continuous development and education
