Technical Buyer

About the Role

We are seeking aTechnical Buyerwith experience in theQSR industryand a background inchicken abattoirsto join our dynamic procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding oftechnical purchasing, supplier management, and supply chain logistics, with a willingness totravel frequentlyto various countries, suppliers, processing facilities and operational sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships withsuppliers, manufacturers, and service providersto ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Conductsupplier audits and site visitsto assess quality, compliance, and efficiency.
• Negotiatecontracts, pricing, and service agreementsto optimize cost savings and quality assurance.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinatejust-in-time procurementto minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Work closely withproductionto understand technical requirements and provide procurement solutions.
• Ensure all purchases comply withindustry standards, food safety regulations and company policies.
• Prepare reports onprocurement performance, cost analysis, and supplier evaluations.
• Stay up to date withnew technologies and trendsin abattoir equipment and QSR supply chain management.

Requirements:

• Proven experienceas aTechnical Buyerin theQSR or food manufacturing industry, specifically withinchicken abattoirs.
• Strong understanding oftechnical procurement, supply chain management, and vendor negotiation.
• Willingness and ability totravel frequentlyfor supplier audits, inspections, and negotiations.
• Proficiency inprocurement software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge offood safety standards, equipment maintenance and operational requirementsin chicken processing.
• Degree or diplomain Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
