Job description

Our client in the Automotive Industry is seeking a Financial Manager with the following skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BCOM Degree
  2. A suitable relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Financial (or similar)
  3. Must be able to work in a Corporate Dealer Group environment
  4. Must have over 3 years' experience as a Financial Manager at a Dealership.
  5. Experience with both new and pre-owned cars sales.
  6. Extensive CRM, DMS, Financial and Payroll systems expertise in the industry that will allow you to champion the systems and processes needed to drive the financial portfolio.
  7. Advanced Excel skills.

Digital Literacy: MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Industry-related platform experience.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  1. Financial control and performance management
  2. Preparation of Budgets and forecast processes
  3. Income and Expense Management
  4. Risk Analysis and Management
  5. Assist with internal & external audits across the business
  6. Process month-end journals and full reconciliations of balance sheets
  7. Posting of cashbook, creditors & debtors' transactions to the general ledger
  8. Asset Management (Maintain fixed Assets and working assets)
  9. Authorize requisitions (payments / credit notes / invoice reversals etc.)
  10. Daily cashflow management
  11. Audit & F&I Bordeaux reports
  12. Manage the sales recon and commission process
  13. Prepare and submission of commission sheets
  14. Process payroll related matters
  15. Daily audit of petty cash, WIP of both parts & workshop departments
  16. Workshop financial management and support - must have experience - not negotiable
  17. Prepare management packs, reports for shareholders
  18. Back-end journals (Service, maintenance & warranties supplier invoices)
  19. Bank Reconciliation
  20. Floorplan Management
  21. Demo depreciation management
  22. Daily operation cash (DOC), Reporting or Management
  23. Systems and process champion for the DMS, Financial Systems and Payroll Systems

Provides seamless Financial Management support to the business. Continuously ensuring the financial wellbeing of the business and ensuring your team is able to drive as a shared service support function across the business.
