Tax Consultant

Employment Type : 12 Month Annual Renewable Contract

Location : J ohannesburg or Cape Town (Hybrid)

Primary Responsibilities :

• Prepare accurate and timely US tax returns for individuals and entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive tax research and analysis to interpret US tax laws and optimize client strategies.
• Develop proactive tax planning strategies to enhance client outcomes and minimize tax liabilities.
• Prepare tax projections and forecasts based on current and anticipated US tax legislation.

Requirements :

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in US tax return preparation, with expertise in both individual and entity tax filings.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred.
• Proficiency in UltraTax CS and SurePrep software for tax preparation and document management.
• Strong grasp of US tax laws, regulations, and compliance obligations.
• Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a or hybrid work environment.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact confidently with clients and colleagues.
