We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer Specialist to provide expert technical support in the installation, testing, tuning, optimization, diagnosis, repair, upgrade, and maintenance of both internally and externally supplied hardware and systems software. The role requires proficiency in operating systems, data management products, office automation solutions, embedded systems, and other utility-enabling software and related equipment.
WORKING HOURS: 15H00 TO 23H00, Monday to Friday,
DURING FREEZE PERIOD: Working Hours will be 08h00 to 17h00 (SA TIME)
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Perform system testing, tuning, and optimization to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to hardware and system software.
- Repair, upgrade, and maintain enterprise-level computing infrastructure.
- Provide specialized support for operating systems, data management tools, and automation software.
- Ensure compliance with security and performance standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve technical challenges.
- Document system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a VMware ESXi Host Engineer Specialist.
- Extensive experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
- Strong expertise in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Dell and HP hardware.
- Proficiency in managing enterprise-grade operating systems and utility software.
- Ability to analyse system performance and optimize configurations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in VMware, Dell, or HP technologies.
- Experience with storage systems, networking, and automation tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and hybrid environments.
