Job Summary
Opportunity to support and add value to the efforts of the Sustainable Finance team within Absa Corporate and Investment Banking Division. The candidate would ideally have a passion towards transitioning the bank, its clients and the broader economy towards a more sustainable future. The role requires very broad and diverse stakeholder engagement, adaptability, curiosity and ability to thrive under pressure. The role requires an independently minded person able to seek out solutions (from inside or outside the Group) to simple and complex issues faced by the team and to embrace the value of stewardship and be passionate about improving whatever they can within the growing team. Ideal candidate will have a BSc Hons degree in Environmental Science (or similar) coupled with a minimum of 3 years working experience in environmental/sustainability consulting or alternatively a recent CA from Big 4 audit environment with extensive exposure to sustainability audits during articles.
