Sushi-Clerk – Part-Time

Country Grocer in Ladysmith is looking for a Sushi Clerk to join our team.

Our Sushi bar provides customers with a variety of delicious raw, cooked, and vegetable sushi rolls, as well as poke bowls.

In this job, you'll play a key role in creating the many great sushi products we offer all while providing top-notch service to our customers!

We are looking for someone awesome and experienced in all things sushi to join the Ladysmith team!

The Job:

As a Sushi Clerk, you'll be rolling sushi, cutting seafood, steaming rice, and pricing product at the Sushi Bar! You'll offer fantastic service to our customers and ensure all prepared sushi items are properly labeled and rotated and that shelves are stocked to the brim! When there is downtime, you'll tidy up the department or take on any other required department duties as needed.

About You:

1. You work to ensure incredible service is provided to every customer.
2. You can effectively and efficiently handle a variety of tasks.
3. You can follow recipes and have great knife skills and cooking techniques.
4. You can prepare a variety of menu items to produce consistent outcomes.

The Requirements:

1. 1-2 years experience in food preparation.
2. Level 1 Food Safe certificate is an asset.
3. Ability to walk and stand for the duration of scheduled shift.
4. Ability to maintain a safe working environment and follow all established safety procedures.

Part-time

Pay:

$17.40-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours:

16 – 24 per week

Schedule:

Holidays, Monday to Friday. Are you able to start as early as 6am?
