Key Responsibilities :
Local Inventory Control, Distribution & Supply Chain
Review costs in line with SLA to analyze and identify opportunities for savings within distribution charges received from Logistics providers.
Review intercompany & 3rd party stock invoices in preparation for approval for payment.
Own the link between supply chain activities locally, from manufacturers, between the divisions and the outsourced distributor company (DSV).
Overseeing full inventory control function – Stock replenishment planning, P.O. creation, GRV and correction of negative stock balances.
Daily communications to Customer Experience Team regarding any item, specific changes or constraints in demand or supply.
Manage opportunity costs related to emergency shipments.
Analysis of products with short shelf life, and products with high inventory levels, and take appropriate actions to minimize shrinkage.
Full order management and customer SLA tracking.
Manage communication and maintenance of stock item number changes.
Compliance with Export & Customs Duty.
Quarterly reviewing of all ADD tariff codes.
Assisting with the management of export customers.
Ensure compliance to all applicable local and international Abbott Policies & Procedures and all applicable government legislation (e.g., customs and duty, export documentation requirements, etc).
Lead drive and monitor continuous improvement in the business through established business excellence programs.
Host regular meetings with DSV to manage SLA and report to management on DSV KPI performance.
Prepare & present monthly review of order entry statistics & DSV outsource provider performance.
Prepare and report on daily sales performance for the Division, run rates, and performance against plan.
Completion of tasks assigned of a general nature to assist the division in achieving department goals.
Oversee month-end close process.
Project support.
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies and Experience :
5-7 years' experience in a medical distribution or FMCG Logistics environment.
3 years experience in line management experience is essential.
Customer Service experience in related environment is essential.
Logistics - Import and Export and Local Distribution experience is required.
Materials Management experience within a Multinational environment including Africa Logistics.
Excellent communication skills – written and oral.
Excellent Planning & Organizing skills.
Education :
Tertiary qualification and/or Demand & Supply Chain qualification / Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in imports and Exports is preferable.
