An established leader in the pharmaceutical, complementary medicines, cosmetics, and food stuffs industry, has an opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager with experience in forecasting for manufacturing.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the full supply chain function which includes forecasting, improving, and maintaining all supply chain logistics activities and procedures. The successful incumbent will report to the Chief Operations Officer (COO).

1. Ensure order levels are optimized and maintained in line with the plan.
2. Support the Company's supply chain strategy.
3. Analyze supply chain data, performance, and cost-effective solutions identifying areas of improvement.
4. Maintain accurate records, prepare and analyze reports for all supply chain activities.
5. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and other stakeholders.
6. Lead and oversee all aspects of the supply chain including sourcing, procurement, planning, and warehousing.
7. Lead, coach, and manage the team providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
8. Responsible for the team's performance management process as per company procedures and policy.
9. Stay up to date on industry relevant regulations in supply chain management.
10. Develop and implement sustainable practices across all aspects of the business.
11. Advise the COO accurately on all supply chain matters.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
2. Proven forecasting experience in a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong understanding of supply chain principles, processes, and best practices.
4. 10 years experience in supply chain environment, with 5 years at a hands-on managerial level in a factory environment.
5. Cosmetic industry experience will be a strong advantage.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
8. Proficient in MS Office packages and supply chain management software (e.g., ERP systems).
9. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Salary is negotiable and will be based on specific years of experience, specific qualifications, etc. A salary range of around R70k per month is envisaged for this position.
