Job Purpose:
The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a qualified and competent individual to ensure integrated, effective and efficient management of administrative services relating to monitoring, compliance and performance management.

Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification); A valid code B driving license.

Recommendation:
Relevant experience in Supply Chain Management, Finance or Compliance monitoring.

Key Performance Areas:

  1. Providing administrative support to ensure the implementation of an effective SCM system by verifying that Departmental policies, processes, and procedures as well as templates and reports comply with the relevant legislative frameworks and monitoring any changes in SCM legislative environment;
  2. Performing activities to contribute to the measuring performance of Suppliers;
  3. Render clerical support to assist in assessing compliance with SCM processes;
  4. Assist in the annual risk assessment and development of SCM risk response plan;
  5. Perform administrative activities relating to SCM Governance;
  6. Provide administrative support.

Competencies:
A good understanding of the following: Supply Chain Management functions; practices as well as prescripts. Skills in the following: Planning and Organising; Attention to detail; Cognitive; Communication (written and verbal); Computer literacy (MS Office suite); Mathematics; Interpersonal; Flexibility; Teamwork; Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Remuneration:
R 216 417 per annum (Salary level 5)

Notes:
