We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Supply Chain Executive to manage and optimise our supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will oversee Supply Chain Planning, Procurement, Logistics and Distribution Management, Inventory Management, and Supplier Relationships to ensure seamless operations and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Implement measures to minimise the impact of supply chain interruptions or delays.
Strategic Supply Chain Planning
Develop and implement overall supply chain strategies aligned with company goals.
Forecast demand and ensure proper inventory levels to meet market needs.
Identify areas for improvement and streamline processes to increase efficiency.
Procurement and Sourcing
Manage the sourcing of raw materials, stock, components, or finished goods, ensuring the best price, quality, and delivery terms.
Lead contract negotiation with national and international suppliers and ensure compliance with agreements.
Maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to secure long-term partnerships.
Logistics and Distribution Management
Oversee the transportation and distribution of goods, ensuring timely delivery to sites or warehouses.
Optimise routes, warehouse operations and delivery schedules to minimise costs and delays.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards in distribution processes.
Inventory Management
Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure adequate stock without overstocking, balancing demand and supply effectively.
Implement inventory tracking systems and lead initiatives for inventory turnover optimisation.
Manage warehouse operations, ensuring proper storage, organisation, and stock rotation.
Supplier Relationship Management
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
Regularly evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery reliability.
Resolve any issues related to product quality, delays, or discrepancies with suppliers.
Cost Management and Budgeting
Monitor and control supply chain expenses, including procurement, warehousing, and transportation costs.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient practices to reduce overhead.
Prepare and manage budgets for supply chain operations, ensuring the department operates within financial constraints.
Risk Management and Mitigation
Identify potential risks within the supply chain (e.g., supply disruptions, geopolitical factors, natural disasters) and develop contingency plans.
Continuously monitor market trends and adjust strategies as necessary to mitigate risks.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between departments like marketing, business development, finance, and operations to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives.
Ensure team members have the necessary training and resources to perform their roles effectively.
Technology and Data Management
Leverage supply chain management software (e.g., ERP, WMS) and data analytics tools to monitor and improve performance.
Implement automation and technology solutions to streamline supply chain processes.
Ensure accurate data tracking, reporting, and analysis to drive informed decision-making.
Client Service and Satisfaction
Ensure that Operations and ultimately, the clients’ expectations are met through timely deliveries, product availability, and high-quality service.
Resolve any supply chain-related Operations and client issues (e.g., late deliveries, product shortages) promptly and effectively.
Continuously analyse feedback and work on improving supply chain responsiveness to client and Operations needs.
Compliance and Sustainability
Ensure all supply chain processes adhere to legal regulations, industry standards, and sustainability goals.
Implement eco-friendly practices in sourcing, packaging, and transportation to meet sustainability objectives.
Monitor and report on supply chain compliance with environmental and ethical standards.
Reporting and Analysis
Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide insights to senior management to assist in business planning and decision-making.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like on-time delivery, order accuracy, and inventory turnover.
Requirements For The Role
10 to 15 year’s experience, with 8 in a leadership or management position.
Be prepared to travel.
Have a relevant Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and or certification including Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) by APICS, Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by APICS, Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) by ISM.
Have experience in managing teams, leading large-scale supply chain projects, and making strategic decisions.
Have experience across various aspects of the supply chain, such as procurement, logistics, inventory management, demand forecasting, and supplier relationship management.
Have experience in managing global supply chains. This includes understanding international trade, regulations, customs, and managing suppliers and vendors in different regions.
Have familiarity with the specific challenges and trends in the remote facilities management industry would be preferable.
