Requirements

  • You must be a US Citizen or US National.

  • Testing Designated Position: Selectee must submit to a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and random testing thereafter. Final appointment and continued employment is conditional on negative results for illegal drug use.
  • Selectee will be subject to a pre-employment medical statement and/or exam.
  • Valid state driver's license is required at the time of application.
  • In accordance with Office of Government Ethics regulations concerning conflict of interest, the incumbent will be required to submit a financial disclosure report within 30 days of their effective date of appointment and annually thereafter.
  • Prior to an official offer, selectee will be required to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) acknowledging/accepting that geographic mobility is a condition of employment. Failure to sign the MOU will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
  • All USDA employees are required to be enrolled in Continuous Vetting, which authorizes government agencies to receive notifications of criminal activity on individuals who hold low risk, public trust, or national security positions.
Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement, including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.

FOR THE GS-14 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-13 grade level) that demonstrates:

  • Developing business, functional, technical and performance requirements and analysis in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment using SAP (Systems Applications and Products).
  • Deploying, supporting, and enhancing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP projects and SAP business solutions; functional knowledge of and experience with ERP SAP supply chain application capabilities.
  • Managing systems and applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and capabilities to support integrated business processes, including machine learning, advanced analytics, forecasting, predictive analytics, and task automations.
  • Leading application change control and release management processes, providing input to release planning and release content to meet business needs.
  • Managing a team, ensuring a wide range of tasks are planned, assigned, and completed, ensuring efficient operations.
Note: There is no education substitution for this grade level.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

  • Locality pay will vary based upon the selectee's duty location. A final salary determination will be made upon selection.
  • Worksite Information: This is a 100% remote position that must be located within the following defined geographic options: Washington, DC; Maryland; Virginia; West Virginia; Pennsylvania; Missouri; Kansas. The duty station for a remote designation is the selectee's home and must be established within the defined geographic options by the start date. The selectee is not required to regularly work from a government facility however, the option may be available.
