Job description

Key Responsibilities include the following: (not exclusively)

Providing training to team members on an ongoing basis.
Identifying deviations or non-conformances, planning and implementing corrective actions to ensure attainment of production plan.
Complying with requirements of various protocols at Department plant and company level.
Maintaining and implementing safety and health systems and ensuring operational and legal compliance in accordance with regulations.
Communicating relevant aspects to all parties involved.
Determining schedules, assigning work, and managing the performance of assigned personnel to ensure the achievements of company production standards and targets.
Correcting non-conformances and motivating improvements.
Monitoring plant performance.
Investigating opportunities for improvement and developing, implementing, and controlling action plans to realize the improvement.
Monitoring compliance with mining standards and legislative requirements to ensure adherence.
Liaising with upstream and downstream processes for identifying opportunities for improvement.
Continuously ensuring strategic involvement in area-related problems.

Experience

Excellent problem-solving skills.
Able to train employees on production-related programs.
Experience in dealing with Union-related matters, including having monthly meetings with Shortwards and liaising with the Production Manager.
