SUBJECT HEAD: ECONOMICS

Full-time permanent post, commencing 1 January 2025 (or later by agreement)

United Herzlia Schools is a highly successful, independent, community Jewish Day School in Cape Town.

We seek a well-qualified, experienced, highly motivated candidate to work in a dynamic and professional department.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified teacher, with relevant qualifications and registered with SACE.
• Have the ability to teach Economics (up to Grade 12) and Life Orientation.
• Have the ability to teach Business Studies (advantageous).
• Be able to work in an environment calling for differentiated teaching including teaching pupils on an educational support programme.
• Be a committed and professional member of a dynamic and energetic team.
• Be able to work with pupils in a nurturing way, in order to develop each one holistically.
• Be required to participate in the school’s extra mural programme.
• Be able to incorporate technology into their teaching practice.
