STOREPERSON/TRANSPORT COORDINATOR

Main Purpose: To support the Equipment and Transport Control functions at the Middelburg Crane and Equipment Hire Depot.

Key Performance Areas:

1. Check and list equipment for dispatch to and received from various customer sites.
2. Capture of equipment movement on the ERP system (Navision).
3. Do basic stock keeping and stores functions (binning, stock counts, equipment preservation).
4. Reconcile stock quantities and asset numbers, including differences between physical items and ERP inventory list.
5. Ensure compliance to safe working procedures as well as Company operational procedures.
6. Maintain good housekeeping of general stores.
7. To ensure quality products are delivered to customers, do ongoing basic verification inspections on all equipment received and dispatched.
8. Responsible for the fleet administration function and key control of the fleet and the offices.
9. Do monthly reconciliations of fleet fuel expenses for the depot and sites.
10. Arrange transport with the Bethal depot for the delivery of plant and equipment.
11. Schedule calibration and load tests for Middelburg plant and equipment and maintain records thereof.
12. Keep accurate record of plant and vehicle hours and service kits.
13. Schedule servicing of cranes, equipment and vehicles.
14. Perform regular spot checks on plant equipment and vehicles.
15. Control and issue diesel for on-site usage.
16. Ensure that all pre-inspection forms are available and up to date.
17. Any other job related duties as required from time to time.

Preferred Requirements:

1. Grade 12/N3.
2. 3 Years’ working experience in a store and/or warehouse environment.
3. Previous experience on Navision, barcoding and scanning/RFID would be advantageous.
4. Computer literate (MS Office).
5. Valid Drivers’ License.
6. Living in/willing to relocate to Middelburg.
7. Willing to work overtime as and when required.
