Job Description

Administers and operates the organization's warehouse, including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment.

Key Performance Areas

1. Accounts for all materials and supplies in the stores facilities; audits goods received into warehouse.
2. Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.
3. Prepares and coordinates schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.
4. Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment.

Profile Required

1. Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position in a Warehousing/Distribution/Supply Chain environment.
3. Good working knowledge of International Trade and Freight processes.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Minimum requirement is to be proficient at intermediate level in Excel.
5. Proven ability to work efficiently within a Distribution Service environment and complete duties in an autonomous manner.
6. Commitment to excellence and timeliness in internal client service.
7. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
8. Strong and proven focus on business and process improvement.
9. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
10. Able to adapt to change.
11. Lateral thinker & Problem Solver.
