Storeman (Mining)

We are looking for a Storeman to join our dynamic and diverse team.

Based: Brakpan

Working hours (but not limited to): 08:00-17:00, Mon-Fri. Onsite daily.

This will initially be a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

• Receiving, handling, and packing goods
• Keeping track of inventory
• Controlling costs and spending
• Accepting deliveries and shipping goods
• Ensuring safety and security in the storage area
• Ensuring all is clean and in order
• Reporting through to Procurement Manager and assisting as and when necessary.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Matric qualification and relevant software experience.
• Relevant certifications/qualifications an advantage.
• Strong MS Word skills and proficiency in Excel (MS Office Packages).

• Ability to work effectively within a team setting and also to provide leadership when required.
• Detail-oriented and meticulous.
• Proven planning and coordinating abilities.
• Teamwork and collaboration (engaging and listening, building trust, communicating effectively, and being assertive).
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to assist even if considered outside the job description.
