A Tissue Manufacturing company in Kempton Park is looking for a Storeman with 3 -5 years' experience within an FMCG environment.
Duties include:
Production consumables and equipment spare parts (stock) held in the store (e.g., blades, motors, etc.)
Plant consumables (non-stock) held in the store (e.g., bulbs)
Management of PPE stock
Project equipment and project spare parts procurement responsibilities:
Receives the spare parts on site into the store, signs delivery notes, etc.
Ensure spares are delivered on agreed delivery dates.
Discuss and troubleshoot with suppliers when delivery dates are not met.
Books stock spare parts into Syspro / DMS, etc.
Arranges quality inspection of spare parts coming into the store area with engineering or production staff.
MIGO of receipt of above items in DMS.
Follow-up and discussion with vendors on quality and specification concerns of spare parts, etc.
Ensure competitive quotation systems are followed as per company procedure.
Issuing of spare parts:
Responsible for the issuing of spare parts to the plant, adjusting stock in SAP, etc.
Responsible for the issuing of non-stock consumables to the plant.
Spare parts management:
Ensure all the spares master data in Syspro / DMS, such as spares re-order points, re-order quantities, location, quantities on-hand, default supplier, etc., are correct and accurate.
Responsible for purchasing of spares against stock levels, reorder levels, etc.
Accountable to ensure availability of plant stock and non-stock spares to the engineering team.
Daily checks on stock movements and daily cycle counts according to schedule.
Responsible for periodic stock-take of stock spares.
Special tools management:
Responsible for safe keeping of artisan & engineering tools.
Issuing of tools to engineering staff, safety inspection prior to issuing, inspection upon receipt, etc. (management of lost tools, etc.)
Management of the tools register, etc.
Management of calibration of specific tooling, instruments, etc.
Spare parts and equipment movement:
Movement of spare parts only by forklift.
Ensure spares received are stored correctly and timeously.
Other management responsibilities:
Presentation of reports to engineering team on stock position, cost management, inventory levels, future strategy with regards to spares management, etc.
Ensure that all spares stock is fully reviewed at least once per year and that all redundant stock is scrapped.
Ensure liaison with security and production on after-hours procedures and control of the stores as well as reconciliation of stock taken after hours.
Ensure the Engineering Store and its content are secure at all times.
Accountable for the store area, 5S and housekeeping in the store.
Ensure that all stores' systems and procedures are adhered to at all times and are updated where and when necessary.
Use NCR process to record deviations.
Ensure all Stores Documentation are securely stored for at least 2 years.
Accountable for the management of the critical equipment spares register (keep up to date with engineering & plant requirements).
General:
Follow housekeeping and safety procedure.
Work shift and overtime when necessary.
Use of fax and copy machine.
Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Execution of other duties as required by the Engineering Manager.
