Store Manager | Sandton | Luxury Nail Salon

Seeking an experienced STORE MANAGER to join the team of a luxury, award winning nail salon, located in Sandton, JHB. This brand has originated in New York, USA and now has branches in Johannesburg and Cape Town. It is popular with high-end clientele as well as national and international celebrities. It is a ONE-STOP shop for unique beauty and grooming services for women, men and kids.

Purpose of Position:

To oversee the daily operations of the salon, leading by example and providing direction, support, and technical guidance to the team. This includes maintaining the highest standards in equipment, products, and services. The Store Manager will use excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues, while ensuring a productive and healthy environment for both staff and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure professionalism in the salon by maintaining open communication between management, employees, and guests.
  2. Keep the salon running efficiently and in an organized manner.
  3. Address personnel issues as they arise in accordance with company policies.
  4. Resolve guest complaints and ensure an exceptional salon experience.
  5. Evaluate staff performance through regular reviews and aid in employee training and development.
  6. Maintain inventory and oversee the monthly costing of all supplies.
  7. Manage hiring, disciplinary actions, and employee development.
  8. Organize and lead staff and management meetings.
  9. Build and maintain relationships with service providers.
  10. Complete regular reports, including sales, employee performance, stock levels, and guest feedback.
  11. Oversee the Point of Sale (POS) and data management systems, ensuring updated client profiles and accurate data entry.
  12. Promote customer rewards programs and ensure the salon stays current with the latest beauty trends, including nail, waxing, and massage services.
  13. Create a strong team environment by fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture.
  14. Ensure the security of the salon’s equipment and systems, including CCTV.
  15. Develop and implement customer appreciation events and promotional programs.
  16. Support staff in achieving sales and service targets, while driving innovation to ensure the salon remains the top-rated establishment in South Africa.

Sales:

  1. Assist the team in achieving and maximizing sales.
  2. Identify new technologies and innovations to improve business performance.

Customer Service:

  1. Ensure the salon maintains the highest levels of customer service in line with the SAESTA (Smile, Acknowledge, Education, Sell, Talk, Appreciate) model.
  2. Promote a customer-first culture where every request is met with a solution.
  3. Foster a passionate and caring service culture that exceeds expectations.

Hygiene and Cleanliness:

  1. Ensure staff understand and comply with all health and safety regulations.
  2. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the salon.

People Management:

  1. Lead and inspire staff to achieve results through planning and project execution.
  2. Encourage the personal and professional development of employees.
  3. Set clear goals and performance plans for team members, providing regular feedback and support.

General Duties:

  1. Identify opportunities for personal development and continuous improvement.
  2. Monitor sales against targets and implement measures to increase revenue and guest satisfaction.
  3. Maintain a respectful and harmonious work environment.
  4. Attend training and development courses as needed.
  5. Ensure all legal and company standards are met.

  2. Accurate management of in-store cash, credit, and payments.
