Stock controller | Sessional

A vacancy exists for a Stock Controller - sessional position, based at Life Queenstown Private Hospital, reporting to Xoliswa Mehlala, Pharmacy Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing data and financial information and performing specific general ledger reconciliations in the financial accounting of Life Healthcare.

Critical Outputs

Effective medication safety management

• Report 100% of inventory incidents and develop and implement remedial actions as appropriate.

Effective quality management systems

• Participate in the implementation and compliance with LHC Quality management systems.
• Ensure compliance with SAPC, DOH, and LHC legal and professional standards.
• Achieve required customer service levels in wards.
• Implement customer satisfaction.

Effective financial management

• Participate in achieving hospital budgeted financial measures relating to pharmacy.

Effective COS and Domino

• Build effective working relationships with doctors and other stakeholders in the hospital.

Effective asset management

• Participate in stock takes and achieve set targets.
• Achieve optimal system utilization.
• Generate reports and submit daily as per unit’s requirements.

Effective people management

• Build positive work behavior and good relationships.
• Understand all stakeholders and create positive relationships.

Requirements

• Grade 12 National Senior Certificate.
• Experience with stock control within a hospital environment will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of inventory control processes, procedures, and practices.
• Be available to work extra hours when needed.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Computer literacy with knowledge of the iMeds and Impilo billing and stock control systems is essential.
• Basic financial and numeric skills.
