Stock Controller

Our client specializes in providing high-quality meat products to consumers. They are seeking a reliable and organized Stock Controller to join their dynamic team on a Temporary Contract . This role is key to ensuring the smooth operation of their inventory management system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency within the meat market industry. The company is based in Midrand.

Duties and responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels and ensure product availability
• Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Process orders and manage stock replenishment based on demand forecasts
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements and update inventory management systems
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards for meat storage and handling
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and quality assurance
• Identify slow-moving stock and recommend strategies to optimize inventory turnover
• Manage stock rotation and ensure products are stored in accordance with industry standards

Requirements :

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Previous experience in stock control, preferably within the meat industry or food sector
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food storage
• Basic understanding of financial principles related to inventory management
• Knowledge of meat industry-specific practices and standards
• Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, etc.)
• Driver’s license and access to reliable transport (if applicable)
