The objective of the Stamping Engineer is to ensure that the Silverton Stamping programs are delivered on time, in budget and at required quality and productivity levels.
POSITION DETAILS
Liaise with VME Team, vehicle operations, engineering teams, and suppliers.
Raise Purchase Orders etc. as required for Tooling and Facilities.
Participate in DDR (Die Design Reviews), tooling reviews, and buyoff activities.
Assist with all Launch and Sheet Metal quality activities.
Complete PSW and acquire required customer acceptances
Compile and report LQOS (Launch Quality Operating System) metrics + attend all launch meeting cadences
Support to Identify and analyze deviations from established company quality standards.
Conduct root cause investigations and prevent re-occurrences
Conduct PVT & TVM activities as required
Work with both facility and tooling teams both within to ensure all launch metrics are delivered.
Buy off tooling at supplier site, ensure timely in plant delivery timing allowing for robust launch and early PSW completion
Develop and train LNE teams on all sites to be capable of:
Overcoming issues such as splits and wrinkles
Improving FPA to better than expected levels
Ensuring all tools run at Engineered Cycle Rate prior to production handover.
