THE JOB AT A GLANCE:
Contract Duration: Permanent
Experienced Assistant Safety Officer to help Site SSE officer to identify and minimize the risk of job-related accidents.

They will monitor operations to help identify and eliminate hazardous activities using different MECP tools and topics.

The role requires the coordinator to assist in implementing EHS policies and procedures to promote occupational health and safety (SHE).

Taking part in conducting internal audits to ensure continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

1. Take part in the planning and conducting of internal audits (ISO and MARSH)
2. Take part in incident investigations and monitor and coordinate corrective action system
3. Conducting continuous risk assessments for operational tasks
4. Coordinate contractor operational observations and auditing
5. Drive SRO closure activities with relevant unit managers to ensure compliance to target.
6. Take part in MECP project initiatives working together with relevant managers
7. Developing training material to simplify communication via tools like OPL's.
8. Take part in driving the PJO schedule, developing corrective actions for gaps identified and monitor implementation
9. Supporting the routine meetings in the different units

What You Will Be Measured On

1. Monthly contractor gap analysis based on daily operations.
2. Number of MECP projects deliverable
3. Successful value adding SRO management
4. Monthly performance gap ID and closure
5. Training plan adherence

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Key Professional Competencies
Core knowledge – Data analysis, workplace safety, SHE systems auditing, contractor management and risk assessor

Key foundational competencies
Academic – Safety, engineering or environmental diploma qualification
Personal Effectiveness – Effective communication, Interpersonal skills, report writing, multi skills, work under pressure, take initiatives

Experience
Function – Fresh graduate or 1 year experience in the SSHE space is preferable, internal auditing, action plan development and tracking, peer to peer coaching
Industry – Manufacturing or FMCG Industry desired.
