Sports Coordinator

Required: Must be able to teach Physical Education.
Reporting to: Principal

Duties Required:

1. Controlling Sports Programme
2. Controlling Sports Events
3. Coaching in various Sporting Disciplines
4. Liaising with parents, students, and visitors to the campus
5. Sports Equipment – budgeting and management
6. Sports Coaches – Management
7. Physical Education Teacher – Grade 1 to 7
8. Organisation of sporting events – Official League Matches and Interhouse and Internal Events

Competencies/Skills/Requirements:

1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, students, and parents
2. Energetic, self-motivated, and able to use own initiative
3. Good organisational and administrative skills
4. Computer literacy
5. Must be a team player
6. First Aid Training would be required
7. Willingness to accompany teams to sporting fixtures
8. Skilled in Coaching and Refereeing/Umpiring

Qualifications:

Minimum requirement is a recognised Degree and/or a diploma in Sports’ Management or Teaching Qualification with Physical Education as a subject completed. SACE registration would be advantageous.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the same and/or similar type of position and environment. Ability to coach sports is essential. Experience in the organisation of sporting events.
