Job Description: The Supply Chain Specialist will develop and implement supply chain strategies for their portfolios, resulting in real reductions in the average cost of claims.

This role requires sourcing and leading vendor selection within Short Term Insurance, negotiation of rates (including contractual), relationship management, and supplier management reviews.

The specialist will ensure alignment and execution of Group Procurement Guidelines and compliance with national legislation (SABS / SANS) and SIL Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities also include the implementation of agreed rates and SLA performance management of service partners.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Type of Qualification: Diploma
2. Field of Study: Supply Chain Management diploma
3. Post Matric qualification with Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management
4. Project Management qualification
5. Business Management qualification
6. Valid driver's license

Experience Required:

1. At least 3 years procurement experience in the insurance industry
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Short-Term Insurance industry is key.
