Role purpose / Business Unit:

Own and effectively assist and support on programmes/projects relating to and impacting processes and activities within the designated Retail portfolio. To assist and support in the delivery and implementation of all activities that form part of the retail model through facilitation of the end-to-end service delivery with stakeholders across both the formal and informal retail distribution footprint.

Delivery and Implementation of model inputs against business imperative and strategic projects related to broader Vodacom/Vodafone initiatives/roadmaps. Support the optimisation of the current retail model through implementation and delivery learnings, findings and best practice that will result in an overall model outcome which benefits Vodacom.

Agile decision making and implementation within a multi-stakeholder Retail environment responding to current and future barriers to achieving unmatched customer experience through a transformed Retail environment. Digital at the core, Innovation and Change – Proactive participation, efficient design and administrative support to ensure seamless operationalisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Best in Class Retail Operational Excellence: Support, collaborate and engage various teams and stakeholders to effectively support Vodacom World and Retail in terms of Operational Excellence Delivery, Implementation and Improvement, Projects & Initiatives, POC's, Retail Business Model Support, Training management, etc.
  2. Assist and support in the preparation for design and delivery of retail models from a partner/channel/regional engagement, formulation of rollout plans and collation of monitoring and measuring reports and analysis on projects implemented.
  3. Optimise current retail model through implementation and delivery learnings, findings and best practice that will result in an overall model outcome which benefits Vodacom.
  4. Retail Programme Delivery & Implementation: Full Project Management of all interventions relating to and impacting processes and activities within the designated portfolio. Design, manage and implement roll out plans, project templates including all relevant forms/templates/communication required for delivery and implementation.
  5. Ensure quality and standards are met in terms of project planning, piloting and implementation per documented way of working.
  6. Build and maintain relationships with operational teams, stakeholders and business partners.
  7. Provide reports and information for the purposes of monitoring and measuring.
  8. Drive usage uptake of retail models implemented together with regions, channel and BP's.
  9. Execute, facilitate and/or support ad hoc projects.
  10. Operational Input: Ensure channel readiness for implementation of key innovations including products, services, processes or systems.
  11. Ensure effective communication as necessary to the Trade and Retail Division through managed communication efforts.
  12. Formulate presentation, delivery models that will support the successful implementation and maintenance of the various retail initiatives.
  13. Support, administer and coordinate a central gateway capability for all retail deliverables related to processes, systems, people, etc.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  1. Must have technical/professional qualifications: 3-year Degree/Diploma essential in Business/Commerce or related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years' experience within Retail in the ICT environment with specific exposure to: Operational projects management.
  3. Exposure to Retail/Client Services environment is desirable.
  4. Exposure to digitally lead retail solutions and/or automated systems/reporting/dashboard and/or other digital customer interfacing platforms - highly beneficial.
  5. Excellent understanding of Vodacom processes and systems within the Retail environment is essential.
  6. Understanding of Vodacom's Retail offerings: Retail Model and products and services is essential.
  7. Exposure to programme management and/or Project Management principles & methodologies.
  8. Knowledge of the Retail environment and Telecommunications is a strong advantage.
  9. Understanding the different Vodacom business units and the various structures and stakeholders is a strong advantage.
  10. Exposure to dealing with various audience and levels internally and externally is a strong advantage.
