Description
Be part of a highly motivated team of Procurement, Localisation & Component Exports Specialists.
To support the Procurement Hub initiatives as well as to ensure best Production Material cost position for the East London Plant and Component Exports.
This requires an outgoing, confident individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter, who has a passion for excellence and values, integrity, and respect.
Responsible for commercial aspects in the Procurement & Localisation field in compliance to the Company's Integrity & Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy & S.H.E. requirements and to perform delegated S.H.E. tasks and duties & to inform superior about deviations.

- Knowledge of New Procurement Systems (NPS)
- Responsible for the Procurement of cost-effective Production and Export Material.
- Participation in the formulation of commodity specific strategies.
- Conduct Vendor price negotiations in accordance with procurement, localization, and export targets.
- Responsible for cost optimization and transparency throughout Supply Chain.
- Initiate and facilitate Supplier development by employing new technologies and processes.
- Interact and support cross-functional processes for the introduction of parts, processes, and projects in alignment with the Lead Buyer.
- Responsible for the price maintenance of the part throughout its life cycle.
- Conduct feasibility/viability studies and presentation in the relevant steering committees.
- Investigate potential localisation and increase of local content in allocated commodities.
Qualifications
- A relevant minimum NQF 7 – BCom or relevant Equivalent
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Procurement/Localisation or Negotiation/ Costing
- At least 6 months participation on the MBSA Graduate Development Programme.
