Specialist: Network Management

We are currently recruiting for a Network Management Specialist to join our Supplier Network Management team, based in Sandton, Johannesburg. The main responsibilities of the role focus on driving and implementing network management sourcing strategies and strategic plans, through integrated involvement of all supply chain stakeholders, to meet the company's strategic objectives based on procurement best practices.

Qualifications

  • Matric Certificate or Equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification.
  • National Diploma in Supply Chain or Procurement or equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification.

Knowledge and Experience

  • A minimum of 7 years' procurement/supplier management experience or strategic sourcing within the short-term insurance industry, automotive repairer claims environment, or automotive repairer sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of Procurement/Supplier management methodology and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite at an intermediary to advanced level.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration among supply chain stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with external bureau platforms, procurement, and supplier management platforms.
  • Understanding of BBBEE Codes of Good Practice.
  • Experience in the repairer and value adds network/motor industry.
  • Experience in the automotive insurance industry value chain and/or operationally managing automotive suppliers or repairers.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms to streamline procurement/supplier management processes.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets to inform strategic decisions and optimize supplier performance.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the commodity sourcing plan for network spend (On & Off Risk), to drive revenue generation & cost savings.
  • Negotiate cost-effective commercial deals in support of network spend revenue generation and cost savings plans & targets.
  • Champion cost-saving initiatives within the department and achieve network spend annual savings targets.
  • Develop and execute sourcing plans for network spend as per commodity sourcing strategy, procurement frameworks, and Procurement Policy.
  • Execute Procurement processes, procedures & activities in a compliant manner to ensure sound Procurement governance.
  • Execute agreed appropriate dashboards, metrics, and measures to track network savings (On Risk) on a monthly basis and identify ongoing areas for improvement and savings opportunities.
  • Advise the Network Manager of any network/Dealer risks facing procurement and/or network procurement market intelligence.
  • Execute the rollout of contracts for network goods and/or services to all relevant Claims Operations business areas in a structured manner.
  • Drive the usage of contracts throughout the organization and report on sourcing/procurement benefits monthly.
  • Manage Dealer Network contracts to ensure delivery to contractual terms.
  • Promote and drive Innovation Group’s BBBEE preferential procurement and enterprise development objectives and targets.
  • Execute Supplier Reviews for all designated network business partners on a quarterly basis.
  • Support the Network & Supplier Administrators to ensure Dealer data captured on Innovation Group systems is correct and up to date.
  • Maintain effective collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, strategic service providers, and professional bodies to ensure the credibility of the procurement function of the Innovation Group and the enablement of strategic business objectives.
  • Execute strategic sourcing projects/activities on behalf of Innovation Group to deliver quantitative benefits & drive strategic partnerships.
  • Act as the primary escalation point between suppliers and business to ensure continuity of supply to support the business unit requirements.
  • Develop existing and new suppliers to effectively reduce the total cost of ownership associated with Network Spend.
  • Create a culture of ownership and accountability throughout the organization in support of our values.
  • Demonstrate Innovation Group values in all engagements with internal and external stakeholders, as well as colleagues.
