Job description

Role Purpose / Business Unit: To ensure the proper investigation of internal and external complaints / cases and the identification, recommendation, and implementation of appropriate control measurements, in order to prevent and mitigate any threats to Vodacom.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Internal Investigations: Assess cases or files for investigation and plan appropriate action (commence investigation, appropriate referral, etc.).
  2. Conduct proper investigation of all cases booked out on the Case Management system and ensure investigations are done in accordance with Vodacom policies and procedures (Evidence sourcing, investigations, witness interviews, etc.).
  3. Identify, recommend and implement internal control measures to pro-actively prevent incidents of economic crimes against Vodacom.
  4. Produce quality reports in accordance with business requirements.
  5. Liaison with all Vodacom staff and clients, compilation of disciplinary bundles, and giving evidence at disciplinary enquiries where required.
  6. Ensure proper filing of all records in accordance with policy, legislation, and business procedure.

External: Responsible for the proper investigation of all cases booked out on the Case Management system and ensure investigations are done in accordance with Vodacom policies and procedures.

  1. Identify, recommend and implement control measures to pro-actively prevent incidents of economic crimes against Vodacom.
  2. Produce quality reports in accordance with business requirements.
  3. Pro-active identification of criminal syndicates and addressing such threats quickly and effectively.
  4. Assist with police operations where necessary and ensure the arrests of identified suspects.
  5. Dealer investigation.
  6. Liaison with all Regional Vodacom clients, external complainants, SAPS, etc.

Provide Support: Internal and external client support and guidance related to various matters and queries (Whistle blowing, external and internal customers).

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  1. Relevant 3-year Degree / Diploma.
  2. 3-5 years relevant experience is essential.
  3. Job Knowledge: Knowledge of Vodacom systems including Analyst Notebook will be advantageous.
  4. Policies and procedures, best/recommended practices, and internal processes.
  5. Corporate Environment.
  6. Legislation.
  7. Experience in leading evidence and/or testifying in Criminal Courts, Disciplinary Enquiries, CCMA's.
