Spatial Designer

Your Purpose...

• To support the Head of Design and Property Projects department
• Undertake a variety of space designing projects and transform spaces within our clubs into safe, functional, and visually appealing areas
• Handle design from conceptual development and liaise with stakeholders to manage and execute on the design
• Strategically plan space utilization, actively selecting colour palettes and lighting fixtures to cultivate an inviting ambiance for our clubs
• Work with and support the Head of Property Projects, the Head of Construction, National Quantity Surveyor, Head of Design, and Project Coordinator

Your Duties and Responsibilities...

• Execute on the following:
  • 2D Block layouts
  • 2D Floor layouts
  • 2D Floor finishes layouts
  • 2D Wall finishes
  • 2D Furniture layouts
  • Basic technical layouts
  • Equipment layouts
  • 3D models / renders
• Prepare Proposal Refurb and Refresh packs for business approval
• Prepare Refurb and Refresh packs to issue to site
• Prepare External pack for business and Landlord approval
• Prepare External pack for council approval
• Prepare External pack to issue to site
• Produce “sample” and “mood products”
• Conduct site visits and surveys
• Set costs and project fees according to budget
• Prepare artwork for production
• Supervise work progress on sites in terms of branding, furniture, and signage

Our Minimum Requirements...

• Matric or similar qualification
• Interior Design or similar postgraduate qualification
• 4-7 years’ experience in a similar functional role
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design programs

• Adaptability to a fast-paced, changing environment

• Proven experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning, and new construction)
• Expertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and installations
• Experience in a department dealing with the planning and execution of property/construction projects
• Ability to undertake a design project from concept to completion
• Ability to interpret and translate design briefs received from stakeholders into detailed plans
• Excellent portfolio of previous projects
