POSITION SUMMARY

Our award-winning Spa on the 19th floor at The Westin Cape Town offers a balance between outer skin and inner being. Our signature spa experiences offer the promise of treatments that are both unique and luxurious creating the perfect symmetry of luxury and well-being. Balance is restored with a healing touch. From therapeutic massages to cleansing facials and invigorating body treatments, each element of your spa visit is designed to stimulate the senses and nourish both body and mind.

Function

Join our amazing team and create and deliver unforgettable and memorable Spa experiences. We are recruiting for Professional, vibrant and enthusiastic individuals with a positive attitude. Reporting to the Spa Management, the successful candidates will be required to manage the front desk/reception area. Upsell and offer guests a wide range of Beauty, Body, Skin Therapy and treatments, whilst maintaining the quality and standards of the Westin Cape Town Hotel in accordance with Marriott International Policies and Procedures within a pressurized environment.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  1. Recognised & relevant qualification in Body, Skincare and Beauty Therapy and treatment advantageous
  2. At least 2 years’ experience in a frontline similar role i.e Receptionist within a hospitality environment
  3. Professional telephone, communication and email etiquette
  4. People centric with a strong focus on the Guest experience
  5. Well-groomed appearance as per company standards
  6. Professional Disposition
  7. Strong planning and administrative and organizing skills
  8. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  9. Working knowledge of Spa booking systems advantageous
  10. Problem solving, decision making and conflict resolutions skills
  11. Ability to work within a pressurized environment
  12. Ability to use Initiative and be proactive and self-driven
  13. Ability to work without supervision and within a team
  14. Attention to detail pertaining to area of responsibility
  15. Required to work rostered shifts and irregular hours as per operational requirements
  16. Flexible working hours as well as available to work weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts when rostered as per operational requirements
  17. Enclose a latest photo of yourself

Key Responsibilities

  1. Adherence to health and safety as well as COVID protocols within the work environment and at work stations
  2. Assist in the marketing of the spa, revenue generation as well as retail Spa products as required
  3. Adherence to Spa opening and closing procedures
  4. Ensure the front desk environment is kept neat and tidy at all times
  5. Oversee arrival and departure of guests, and access control
  6. Ensure that the standards of service excellence and guest satisfaction are maintained.
  7. Maintain a float and make a deposit and accurate report of receipts daily
  8. Control of cash and daily reconciliations
  9. Effectively maintain the booking system
  10. Assist with Stock checks as and when required
  11. Report professional stock par levels timeously
  12. Manage stock levels and administer utilization thereof
  13. Liaison with housekeeping team with regards to Spa amenities as required
  14. Initiate and place amenities orders as and when required
  15. Complete required administrative tasks
  16. Assist with efficient booking/upselling
  17. Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance as per company standards
  18. Maintain strict hygiene standards as set out by management
  19. Ensure workstations are kept neat and tidy before and after treatments
  20. Perform other duties as and when required
