As the Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and the delivery of high-quality dishes that keep our guests coming back for more. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
Supervising and coordinating the work of kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and quality standards during service.
Contributing to menu development and recipe creation, with a focus on traditional pub fare and comfort food classics.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
Managing inventory and assisting with ordering supplies to meet demand while minimizing waste.
Supporting the training and development of junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Own transport
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior line cook in a busy restaurant or pub environment.
Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating delicious, hearty pub food.
Excellent organisational and leadership abilities, with the confidence to lead a team during service.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
