Requirements:

1. Solicitor qualification with training in the UK and Wales.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial law experience with a strong focus on buyer-seller agreements and contract negotiation.
3. Familiarity with South African commercial law is highly desirable or a willingness to gain proficiency in local legal frameworks.
4. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal information clearly and effectively.
6. Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
7. Willingness to relocate to South Africa and integrate into the local legal and business community.
8. High level of professionalism and a commitment to ethical legal practice.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide legal advice and representation in matters related to buyer-seller agreements and other commercial transactions.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring they comply with local and international legal standards.
3. Assist clients with mergers, acquisitions, and other complex commercial transactions.
4. Conduct thorough legal research to provide accurate and up-to-date advice to clients.
5. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop tailored legal strategies for unique business challenges.
6. Work closely with clients relocating to or investing in South Africa, providing legal counsel on local regulatory requirements and compliance.
7. Support the firm's commitment to excellence by contributing to the development of the Commercial Law practice.
