Software Developer

The Software Developer Intern role is designed to provide hands-on experience in software development while bridging the gap between academic learning and professional work. Interns will contribute to real-world projects, enhancing their technical skills in coding, debugging, and software deployment while also developing essential soft skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability.

Reporting Structure:

Interns will report to a senior developer, who will provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship throughout the program.

Software Developer Interns play a key role in supporting development teams by assisting with coding tasks, testing software, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating on innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Hands-on software development using Enterprise software.
2. Collaborate with team members on software development projects.
3. Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications.
4. Participate in client meetings and contribute to solution brainstorming sessions.
5. Learn and apply best practices in software development and project management.
6. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.

Requirements

1. South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
2. Must not have participated in the programme before.
3. Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
4. Strong academic record with no outstanding modules.
5. Solid understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
6. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
8. Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
