Job Title: Social Media Expert/Content Creator (Junior Role)

Location: South Africa (Remote/Hybrid)

Salary: R9,000 - R10,000 per month

We are looking for a creative and driven Social Media Expert/Content Creator to join our team in a junior role, where you will play a key part in shaping our digital presence and engaging our audience.

Job Overview: As a Social Media Expert/Content Creator, you will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that enhance our brands presence across various platforms. You will create engaging content, manage online communities, and support paid campaigns, all while working with tools like Adobe Canva and CapCut to bring your ideas to life. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about social media, has a keen eye for design, and is eager to grow in the marketing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Social Media Strategy Development:
    1. Develop and implement social media strategies that align with the company’s marketing and branding goals.
    2. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay updated on industry trends and identify opportunities for growth.
    3. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor the performance of social media campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed.
  2. Content Creation:
    1. Create and curate high-quality, engaging, and visually appealing content (images, videos, graphics, and written posts) tailored to each platform (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
    2. Use Adobe Canva and CapCut to design graphics and edit videos that resonate with our target audience.
    3. Develop content calendars and ensure consistent posting across all platforms.
  3. Community Management:
    1. Engage with followers, respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
    2. Foster a positive and active community by encouraging user-generated content, running contests, and promoting brand loyalty.
    3. Monitor social media channels for feedback and trends, and report insights to the marketing team.
  4. Campaign Management:
    1. Assist in planning, executing, and managing paid social media advertising campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
    2. Work with the marketing team to align social media campaigns with broader marketing initiatives and product launches.
    3. Track and analyze the performance of paid campaigns, optimizing for ROI and cost-efficiency.
  5. Analytics and Reporting:
    1. Use social media analytics tools to track key metrics, analyze trends, and generate performance reports.
    2. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve future campaigns and content strategies.
    3. Report on the impact of social media activities on overall brand performance and sales growth.
  6. Collaboration and Coordination:
    1. Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, sales, design, and product) to ensure cohesive brand messaging across all channels.
    2. Coordinate with external partners, influencers, and content creators to amplify brand reach and visibility.
    3. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in social media and digital marketing.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and content creation tools (Adobe Canva, CapCut).
  2. Strong understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
  3. Creative mindset with the ability to produce engaging content that aligns with brand goals.
  4. Excellent communication and writing skills.
  5. Basic knowledge of social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret data.
  6. Highly organized with strong time management skills, able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  7. Passionate about social media and eager to learn and grow in the marketing industry.

Education:

  1. A diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is preferred but not required.
