Job Description

• Psychosocial support to the Service Manager and Department
• Serving as Intake officer for the Tele Counselling programme and CANSA’s virtual support groups
• Administration for the Tele Counselling programme and virtual support groups

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the administration for the Tele Counselling programme and virtual support groups are always up to date
• Assisting with general and financial administration for the department
• Assisting with monitoring and evaluation of the psychosocial support programmes
• Assisting with the reporting requirements of the Department

Qualifications And Requirements

• Social Auxiliary Work qualification and valid registration with SACSSP
• Previous experience in a social services or community support role is preferred
• Empathy and patience, ability to build trust with individuals experiencing hardship
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent Administration skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software, internet-based applications and computer equipment
• Fluency in English and at least one other South African language
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Valid Code 8 Driver’s Licence and own transport
• Non-Smoker
