Purpose of Position: To provide technical support, perform routine and stat analyses of samples and to assist with supervision related tasks within the Clinical laboratory environment.

Requirements:

• Certificate: Supervision
• HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field
• National Diploma: Biomedical Technology

Required Experience: Experience in pathology laboratory environment.

Knowledge:

• Google and Google Mail
• Instrumentation and Methodologies
• Materials Management
• Meditech system
• MS Excel
• MS Word
• Quality Control
• Relevant pathology test procedures
• Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath.
• Perform administration tasks to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory.
• Perform Quality Control procedures in the laboratory to ensure best practices are upheld.
• Process routine bench work in laboratory to ensure efficient processing of specimens.
• Provide technical support within the laboratory to ensure the efficient flow of specimens and timeous resulting of specimens.
• Supervise laboratory personnel to ensure that departmental objectives are achieved.
