Qualifications
A minimum of a M.Sc. Agriculture degree in Soil Science
A tertiary qualification in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) will be an added advantage
Experience
Minimum of 3 years working experience in a relevant field
High level of GIS knowledge, including the use of ESRI suite (ArcGIS), QGIS and Google Earth applications
Knowledge in Ag Leader SMS software will be an added advantage
Track record of managing projects and achieving goals
Duties
Soil classification maps and reports
Working with the agronomic field team
Translating raw data into agricultural solutions
GIS mapping
Strong ability to work independently.
Strong understanding of fertilizer crop requirements.
Strong understanding of agronomic principles including soil chemistry, soil physics, agronomy, plant physiology and crop nutrient management.
Creative thinker.
Excellent language skills (written and verbal English and Afrikaans).
