We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Site Supervisor to oversee the daily operation of the Sulzer Site within the Eskom Power Station perimeter.
Purpose and Responsibilities
Ensuring that the site is maintained to uphold the Sulzer brand image, comply to the OHSA No.85 of 1993 and Regulations, all accounts owed to the client are serviced and Sulzer specific policies are adhered to.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- People Management - Manage the site employees to ensure that all outcomes of the Eskom contract are met. This includes time keeping, resource management, disciplinary action, and succession planning.
- Client Interaction - Work closely with the client representatives of the various departments to meet the outcomes set out in the Eskom contract. This includes attending all required meetings, setting up meetings for client-contractor interaction, and written communication in the form of letters, spreadsheets, e-mails, and telephonic communication.
- Management Interaction - Work closely with the field service manager and other site supervisors to achieve the outcomes of the Eskom contract and other initiatives as instructed by senior management.
- Meetings - Attend and participate in all required meetings initiated by the Client, Sulzer Management, and Subcontractors. Take minutes and be accountable for agreed actions.
- Site Administration - Related to the daily operation of the site and employees, including managing work time of all subordinates, maintaining good site establishment, and managing the use and maintenance of all site-related vehicles, tools, and assets.
- Safety Management - Maintain SHE File, inspect work in progress, compile and review Risk Assessments, ensure all equipment and personnel have required certifications and training, report accidents and near misses, and correct unsafe conditions on site.

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 7 years’ Supervisory experience
- N6 Certificate or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Computer literate in all Windows, SAP, and other necessary software
- QESH knowledge and experience
- P.S.R Authorization
- Trade Test
- Complete Reports (e.g., Friday reports, status reports, failure reports with the help of our Engineers, customer satisfaction surveys)
- Applicants must live within one or two kilometers of the site or be willing to relocate
- Travel is an inherent requirement of the job
- Work on standby
