Site Supervisor

Our client who deals with manufacturing is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee and manage operations on the manufacturing site. The company is based in Sunderland Ridge. The successful candidate will lead a team of workers, coordinate daily activities, and ensure high-quality production output. This is on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise daily site activities, ensuring safe and effective operations
2. Manage a team of production workers, assigning tasks and monitoring progress
3. Ensure adherence to manufacturing schedules and deadlines
4. Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site
5. Conduct quality control checks to ensure product standards are met
6. Monitor the usage of materials, tools, and machinery to minimize waste
7. Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and safety inspections
8. Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Maintenance, Logistics) for smooth operations
9. Report on site performance to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement
10. General administration
11. Familiarity with clocking systems

Key Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Site Supervisor / Team Leader or in a similar leadership role in manufacturing
2. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and production schedules
3. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment
4. Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring productivity and teamwork
5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
6. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
8. Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred)
9. Valid driver’s license and own transport (preferred)
10. Any specific certifications if applicable, e.g., First Aid, Health & Safety
11. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
12. Experience with inventory and supply chain management
13. Familiarity with the use of computer systems for scheduling and reporting
