In this role, you will:

  1. Be the shopper custodian of gold standard execution of planned shopper campaigns through the line from concept to placement instore, delivering strong ROI, tracking, and ensuring sales generation with each activity.
  2. Ensure that the internal strategies come to life both through our executional elements and our external 3rd part OPS team.
  3. Be the owner of gathering shopper data and turning these into actionable insights across the KC organization.
  4. Conduct detailed analysis of shopper basket, translating into the shopper annual business plan and in year execution as well as e-com & omnichannel white spaces.
  5. Understand channel shopper missions and the roles of each of the retailers while tracking regularly through monthly data extracts, trade visits, competitive analysis, and industry.
  6. Work with the sales / ops and commercial teams to conduct pre & post analyses on selected shopper marketing initiatives so that we create a learnings library to continuously drive insight and improved ROI.
  7. Own the executional strategy of specialty POS in the Baby Channel.
  8. Own the relationship with external agencies to design, test produce and execute Perm solutions for both Baby Specialty as well as traditional trade channels.
  9. Ensure the cross functional engagement of relevant stakeholders to deliver on time in full execution of agreed elements.
  10. Own the Cycle operational briefs communication plan and engagement to drive focus and engagement of our operational teams.
  11. Monthly asset tracking of perm and temp POS and reporting regularly to the right stakeholders.
  12. Invest in a full shopper understanding of the Traditional trade Channel, end to end, and bring these insights into both our POS strategy and shopper and trader engagement plans.
  13. Partner with external agencies to design fit for purpose POS material, conduct the relevant instore testing and manage the production & distribution process ensuring OTIF delivery.
  14. Own and action all operational queries from trade feedback from the Ops teams and problem solve collaboratively with the team to address challenges and action opportunities.
  15. Manage any TT specific innovation support plans unique to the channel: POS + activations where necessary.
  16. Ensure project costings are within budget, and make necessary adjustments in alignment with the rest of the shopper team.
  17. In alignment with Shopper Marketing Manager (SMM), work with shopper lead digital agency to ensure OTIF execution of the shopper digital plans by receiving & analyzing activity.
  18. Work with SMM to manage the direct customer partnership bookings for Shoprite, Checkers & Clicks. This includes direct customer engagement to ensure OTIF digital delivery.
  19. Create & maintain the digital activity grid, and work with shopper analyst to ensure all relevant asset files & customer article numbers are submitted OTIF.
  20. Work with KC digital partner agency & brand teams to refine asset copy and final artwork reverts.
  21. Manage with the shopper analyst the strategic intent and execution of images across our traditional and ECom platforms collaborating with marketing teams.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. A relevant bachelor's degree.
  2. 3-5 years shopper marketing experience specifically with regards to the executional elements across omnichannel, ideally with experience within FMCG.
  3. Proven track record of shopper project end to end delivery, with budget management.
  4. Experience managing / engaging external design and production agencies.
  5. Current Shopper / Retailer and trader knowledge specifically around engagement strategies that deliver impact.
