Our client in the Logistics and Freight industry is currently looking to employ a Shipping Estimator to their team in Gqeberha.

Requirements:

1. Matric certificate or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Shipping Estimator.
3. In-depth knowledge and experience in shipping lines, unpacking and repacking of containers, customs, and freight forwarding.
4. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work efficiently and under pressure.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
7. Willingness to work from 07:00 to 17:00, with weekend work as required.
8. Ability to work in a depot/warehouse setting.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify and assess new work opportunities related to container status upon receipt.
2. Estimate the size, cost, and value of materials required for container repairs.
3. Determine the exact cost and time required for quoting on container unpacks and repacks.
4. Source, order, and acquire necessary materials for jobs.
5. Capture and document estimates on various platforms.
6. Maintain accurate control and record-keeping of all related activities.
7. Responsible for providing accurate quotes on unpacking and repacking of containers.
