Shift Supervisor - FMCG - EE

Description

Our client, a global leader in the FMCG / Manufacturing industry, is currently looking to employ an experienced Shift Supervisor based in Parow, Cape Town.

Requirements:

• Matric qualification essential.
• Operations / Engineering / Production Management qualification essential.
• 3 - 5 years’ experience within the manufacturing industry.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience leading teams at Supervisory level.
• Knowledge and understanding of ELS and continuous improvement initiatives an advantage.
• Computer Literacy - Microsoft Office suite (Excel – Essential).
• Warehouse Inventory Managements system experience (e.g. MFGPro / Nautilus / Manhattan / SAP) advantageous.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

1. Dispatch Functions:
   • Ensure that daily delivery targets are met.
   • Ensure correct labeling and packaging of the finished product.
   • Ensure that the correct procedure for handling deliveries is adhered to in respect of quality checks, correct documentation issued, and ensuring transport management system is followed.
   • Reconciliation of system versus actual deliveries daily.
2. Stock Control:
   • Manage consumables for daily consumption.
   • Ensure that the correct procedure for handling raw materials is adhered to in respect of consumption and return to rack location.
   • Accurate cycle counts on an at least monthly basis.
   • Investigations done on inventory deviations with necessary supportive corrective action.
3. Productivity:
   • Ensure that daily production targets are met.
   • Ensure that slitter utilization is maximized.
   • Ensure that manpower is optimally deployed.
   • Continuously search for opportunities to increase productivity.
4. Quality Assurance:
   • Ensuring product quality standards are upheld.
   • Corrective action in respect of discrepancies or non-conformances.
   • Coordinate with the Dispatch Supervisor to oversee the final product quality.
   • Investigate customer complaints or product concerns and rectify the issues effectively.
