Job Summary:
Join a team to coordinate work and manpower on board for the assigned shift in compliance with Project specification, in order to ensure efficient performance and respecting HSE and Quality procedures and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Offshore Construction Manager with regard to interdisciplinary coordination of all works on board.
Supervise the team of foremen and supervisors, with regard to the various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work, in order to comply with the quality and safety standard.
Coordinate the construction activities during the shift and optimise all production phases.
Ensure that the Offshore Construction Manager is kept fully informed of potential problems and construction status.
Liaise with Chief Mate, 2nd Engineer and Vessel Equipment Engineer in order to ensure preventive maintenance and construction activities.
Assist the Vessel Field Engineer in the follow up of project equipment and consumable, operation and monitoring of the stinger and JLT.
Ensure the rigging gear used is within date and properly marked.
Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of experience in the role of 1st assistant.
6-7 years of prior experience in the oil & gas business.
Preferably with Technical High School Diploma or Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Naval Engineering background.
Fluent in English.
Due to visa, preferred nationalities would be with European priority.
Preferred with engineering background.
