Shift Superintendent

Introduction

This position will be based at Highbury in the South Coast of KZN.

Description

The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the effective supervision of the required shift to ensure that shift processes are operational, controlled and maintained.

Qualification Requirements

1. Grade 12
2. National Certificate Mineral Processing Level 2 or equivalent Mineral Processing qualification will be advantageous

Experience and Skills Requirements

1. 5-8 years’ experience in a plant production environment with advanced process operation knowledge and experience
2. English language proficiency
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills
4. Time management skills
5. Supervisory skills
6. Computer Literate in MS Office
7. DMS circuit operation experience advantageous
8. Valid driver’s Licence code B, EB or C1

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensure compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety responsibilities
2. Effective planning of short to medium term production to ensure optimum utilization of available plant capacity
3. Ensure materials and supplies are available for production processes
4. Production operations are performed according to policies and procedures
5. Production targets are met according to specified standards
6. Production sections are maintained according to requirements
