In this role, you will:
- Issue monthly and weekly look ahead schedules as per SAP - Call Horizons
- Ensure safety, quality, housekeeping and standard work procedures are adhered to at all times and are to world-class standards.
- Ensure through the availability of resources that all line clearance and defect recording is completed correctly.
- Ensure that activities and production schedules are meeting targets and those delays and deviations are rectified immediately.
- Maintain maximum utilization of the machine operated on.
- Ensure cleaning of equipment and facilities in accordance with KC-Housekeeping standards.
- Participate actively in the Gemba walks.
- Ensure all correct raw materials that are required for the shifts are available.
- Ensure production-related data is recorded on a shift basis.
- Provide coaching and development for individual members in the shift.
- Attend to IR and HR matters and take appropriate actions.
- Control all other cost elements while on shift.
- Ensure that all production boards are updated timeously.
- Ensure that the weekly TIP / TOP is maintained.
- Maintain flying shift change.
- Ensure that proper cover is arranged for sick leave / leave.
- Update and maintain attendance register and exception reports with accuracy to ensure proper payment.
- Prep and attend morning meetings.
- Check that break rota is being followed.
- Prepare shift report with accurate info and distribute.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Matric
- National Diploma in either electrical, mechanical or production management.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience on high-speed manufacturing equipment with at least 2 years supervisory experience preferable.
- Sound technical knowledge and good leadership skills.
- Ability to organise, lead and delegate subordinates and maintain effective control.
